Silhouette is currently by appointment only for all fittings and to try on completed alterations in-store. Meaning, if you need to try on your garment(s) for us to pin, you must make an appointment below or by calling ahead. We are not accepting walk-in appointments at this time.  Please call (503-493-9391) to schedule a 15 minute pickup appointment if you’d like to try on your altered garments.

For one or two pieces of mending, repairs, pre-pinned hems, or to pick up your completed alterations without trying on, you can come by at any time year-round.

Please plan ahead for getting your alterations completed as our turnaround varies depending on the project, the quantity of garments you are needing done and the season. During our slower season of November through February, we can generally complete jeans hems and other ready-to-wear items in a week or under and formal wear and bridal gowns in 1-4 weeks. But during our peak season of March through October, jeans hems can take up to two weeks, larger number of items and formal wear 2-6 weeks, and bridal gowns 2-4 months. If you are needing your alterations completed quicker than these projections, please email or call to see our current turnaround.

Brides: For immediate weddings over the winter, we have our scheduler open one month in advance. If your wedding date is before March 2024 and you have your gown in hand, you can go ahead and schedule online now.

We are currently booking all spring/summer 2024 wedding gown alterations via a scheduling email list. To find out about our current availability and to be added to the email list, please email with your wedding date, the designer and style name of your dress and estimated dress arrival date if it is within 4 months of your wedding. If you have your dress on hand over six months before your wedding date and would like to come in for an educational consultation first, please email for more information and to schedule.

We are only allowing one guest at appointments.

All garments MUST be clean or recently laundered before we will accept them for alterations. If we find garment(s) to be soiled, we will contact you for pickup, unaltered, and ask you to clean them first.
