My first full collection under my maiden name, GaRey. It was comprised of three dress styles and two summer jackets. After moving to Portland in 2008 and not seeing as much sunshine as I was used to, I really wanted to design a bright and colorful collection to break up the grey sky. The photoshoot took on an Alice in Wonderland inspiration—fresh and young. The collection was made out of stretch cotton sateen, cotton waffle weave, and silk/cotton sateen with an emphasis on comfort and ease. I sold my designs at local boutiques including Sofada and Mink.
